Representation of Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals in Bendectin litigation and of various defendants in asbestos litigation, principally Owens-Illinois, Inc.

Theresa DeWitt is one of the founding partners of the firm and has over 30 years of experience defending product liability and managing mass tort litigation in federal and state courts.

She has established relationships with both defense and plaintiffs’ firms around the country to better serve her clients in successfully resolving litigation matters on a national basis and has personally negotiated tens of thousands of individual cases. She has the training and experience to mediate civil disputes involving businesses, families and elder care issues and offers her services as a mediator in these matters.

Ms. DeWitt is admitted to practice in the Ohio State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. DeWitt is a member of the Toledo Bar Associations and the Toledo Women’s Bar Association and is a past district trustee for the Ohio Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. DeWitt received her Bachelor of General Studies, with distinction, from the University of Michigan in 1975 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1983.
